Khaleesy wins the Prix Madame Jean Couturie

KHALEESY (Galileo) gave her famous dam, Fleeting Spirit, the best possible start to her broodmare career by making all to win the Prix Madame Jean Couturie (Listed) in France over 2000m. Ridden by Francois-Xavier Bertras, Khaleesy was allowed to bowl along in front in an uncontested lead for the majority of the race. She was briefly headed by Al Hayyah with a furlong to run, but stayed on strongly to to reassert soon after.

Khaleesy was a €300,000 foal purchase by Al Asayl Bloodstock from the Paulyn Dispersal at Goffs in 2014. Her dam, Fleeting Spirit, was bought by Badgers Bloodstock as a private purchase in 2011.
